Planning & Customisation
Can I customise the dimensions of a doadoa table?
Many of our table designs can be adapted to suit your space. Contact us with your preferred dimensions before ordering, and we will confirm what is technically possible and whether this affects the price or lead time.
The final dimensions and specifications will be confirmed with you before production.
Can you help me choose the right table size?
Yes. We’ll be happy to help you select dimensions that feel balanced within your space and suit the number of people you would like to accommodate.
You can send us the dimensions of the room, photographs, a floor plan and details about the intended placement. Please remember that you remain responsible for checking the final measurements and ensuring the table will fit both the space and the delivery route.
Which customisation options are available?
Available options may include dimensions, natural-stone type and finish, depending on the selected design.
The standard options are displayed on the relevant product page. If you are looking for something outside these options, please contact us to discuss a bespoke request. We will confirm availability, pricing and the expected lead time before you place your order.
Can I order a stone sample before choosing?
Yes. Available samples can be ordered through our Samples page and can help you experience the general colour, texture and character of the stone in your own space.
As natural stone is unique, a sample cannot guarantee the exact colour, veining or pattern of the final piece. It should be viewed as a representation of the material rather than an exact match.
How does the bespoke design process work?
Start by contacting us with your preferred design, dimensions, stone, finish and delivery destination. Supporting photographs, sketches or floor plans are always helpful.
We will review your request and discuss the possibilities with you. Once the design, specifications, price and estimated lead time have been agreed, you will receive a written quotation or order confirmation. Production begins after your approval and receipt of the required payment.
Can I change the specifications after placing my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to request a change.
Because each table is made specifically for you, changes cannot be guaranteed once the order has been confirmed or production has begun. Any approved change may affect the price and lead time and will only apply once it has been confirmed by doadoa in writing.
Please review all measurements, materials and finishes carefully before confirming your order. Made-to-order tables cannot be returned or exchanged, except where the product is damaged, defective, incorrect or otherwise not in conformity with the confirmed order.
How far in advance should I place my order?
The total estimated lead time for a made-to-order table is 6–8 weeks from order confirmation to delivery. This includes both production and freight delivery.
We recommend ordering as early as possible, particularly if the table is required for a specific date. We can provide a more tailored estimate once the product specifications and delivery destination are known.
Materials & Production
What materials do you use?
Our pieces are crafted from carefully selected natural stone. The specific stone type, colour and finish available for each design are stated on the relevant product page or confirmed with you as part of a bespoke order.
Because stone is a natural material, every slab has its own colour variations, veining, texture and character.
Will my piece look exactly like the product photographs?
No two pieces of natural stone are identical. Product photographs and renders provide an accurate impression of the design and material, but the colour, pattern and veining of your piece will be unique.
Lighting conditions and screen settings may also affect how the stone appears online.
Will a stone sample match my finished piece exactly?
A sample provides a helpful indication of the stone’s general colour, texture and finish, but cannot represent the exact pattern or veining of the final piece.
Natural variations can occur both between different slabs and within a single slab. These differences are part of the material’s character rather than imperfections.
Can I select the exact stone slab for my piece?
Individual slab selection may be available for certain bespoke projects. Please contact us before ordering if you would like to discuss this option.
Unless individual slab selection has been expressly agreed and confirmed in writing, the stone will be selected by our production team with attention to the design, proportions and overall character of the piece.
Are variations in the stone considered defects?
Variations in colour, veining, texture and pattern are natural characteristics of stone and are not considered defects.
Depending on the stone type, natural pores, mineral markings, small cavities or subtle surface variations may also be present. These characteristics do not affect your statutory rights if the product is delivered damaged, defective, incorrect or materially different from the specifications confirmed with you.
How is my table produced?
Every doadoa table is made to order and produced individually after the order has been confirmed.
The stone is selected, cut, shaped and finished according to the specifications of the design. As part of the artisanal production process, each piece is finished by hand, giving it its own distinctive character.
Which finishes are available?
Available finishes are shown on the relevant product page and may vary depending on the selected stone and design.
Different finishes can influence the colour, texture and appearance of natural stone. If you are unsure which finish is right for your space, please contact us before ordering. We’ll be happy to guide you through the available options.
Are the stated dimensions exact?
We make every reasonable effort to produce each piece according to the dimensions confirmed with your order.
Because our products combine natural materials with artisanal production, minor dimensional and finish tolerances may occur. These will remain within the stated product specifications and reasonable production tolerances.
Delivery & Receiving your piece
When will I receive my order?
Accessories have an estimated delivery time of 2–10 business days after order confirmation, depending on the destination and product availability.
The total estimated lead time for a made-to-order table is 6–8 weeks from order confirmation to delivery. This includes both production and freight delivery.
Does the 6–8 week lead time include delivery?
Yes. The estimated total lead time of 6–8 weeks includes the production of your table and its delivery to the confirmed address.
We will keep you informed of important updates and contact you if we become aware of a significant delay.
How will my table be delivered?
Due to its size and weight, your table will be delivered by a professional freight carrier.
Once the table is ready for dispatch, the carrier will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date or time window. Please ensure that the telephone number and email address provided with your order are correct.
What does curbside delivery mean?
Standard table delivery is made curbside to an accessible location at street level.
Curbside delivery does not include carrying the table inside your home or building, delivery to an upper floor, unpacking, assembly, installation or removal of packaging materials.
Is assembly or placement included?
Assembly and placement are not included in standard curbside delivery.
The customer is responsible for arranging sufficient assistance to move the table safely from the delivery point and position it inside the property. Natural-stone furniture is extremely heavy, so we recommend organising appropriate help in advance.
If you require an alternative delivery service, please contact us before ordering. We will let you know whether an additional service is available for your destination and what the associated cost will be.
How should I prepare for the delivery of my table?
Please check that the delivery address is accessible to a freight vehicle and that there is sufficient space to unload the table safely.
Before delivery, measure entrances, hallways, staircases, lifts and any other access points the table will need to pass through. Please also arrange enough people or professional assistance to move the table from the curbside delivery point.
Contact us before ordering if the property has restricted access or if you are unsure whether standard delivery is suitable.
Can I track my delivery?
For accessories, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email once your order has been dispatched. Tracking information will be included where available.
For made-to-order tables, the freight carrier will contact you directly to arrange delivery. Tracking options may vary depending on the carrier and destination.
Who is responsible for my order during delivery?
doadoa remains responsible for your order until it has been delivered to you or to a person designated by you to receive it.
Once the order has been delivered, please handle and move natural-stone pieces with care and use suitable assistance due to their weight and fragility.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please inspect the packaging and product carefully upon delivery. If your order appears damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible and preferably within 48 hours.
Please include your order number, a description of the issue and clear photographs of the product and packaging. This will help us investigate the matter promptly and find an appropriate solution.
Reporting visible damage within 48 hours helps us handle the matter efficiently, but does not limit or remove your statutory consumer rights.
Caring for your doadoa piece
Is natural stone suitable for everyday use?
Yes. Natural stone is a durable material and, with the right care, can remain a lasting part of your interior.
Because it is a natural and often porous material, it is not completely resistant to stains, scratches, acids or heat. Small changes and a gentle patina may develop over time as part of normal use.
How should I clean my doadoa piece?
For regular cleaning, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water. If necessary, use a small amount of pH-neutral cleaner specifically intended for natural stone.
Wipe the surface with a clean damp cloth afterwards and dry it with a soft towel to help prevent water marks. Always follow any product-specific care instructions provided with your piece.
Which cleaning products should I avoid?
Avoid acidic, abrasive or strongly alkaline cleaning products. This includes vinegar, lemon-based cleaners, bleach, ammonia, limescale removers, abrasive powders and general-purpose cleaners that are not suitable for natural stone.
Do not use rough sponges, scouring pads or hard brushes, as these may dull or scratch the surface.
What should I do if something is spilled?
Blot spills immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth. Do not rub, as this may spread the liquid further across the surface.
Gently clean the area with lukewarm water and a pH-neutral natural-stone cleaner, then dry it thoroughly. Take particular care with acidic or strongly coloured substances such as wine, coffee, citrus juice, vinegar, oil and tomato-based products.
How can I protect the surface during everyday use?
We recommend using coasters under glasses, placemats under tableware and trivets beneath hot objects. Use felt pads under decorative objects and avoid placing sharp or rough items directly on the stone.
Do not leave wet glasses, bottles, plant pots or strongly coloured products on the surface for extended periods.
Can I place hot objects directly on the stone?
We recommend always using a heat-resistant trivet or protective mat.
Although natural stone can tolerate some heat, sudden temperature changes and direct contact with very hot cookware may affect the finish, cause discolouration or damage the stone.
Is natural stone resistant to stains and scratches?
Natural stone is durable, but it is not stain-proof or scratch-proof. Its resistance depends on the type of stone, finish, use and maintenance.
Avoid dragging objects across the surface and clean spills promptly. A protective treatment may reduce absorption, but it cannot completely prevent staining, etching or signs of use.
Does my piece need to be resealed?
The need for resealing depends on the type of stone, its finish, the protective treatment applied and how frequently the piece is used.
Do not apply a sealing or maintenance product without first checking that it is suitable for your specific stone and finish. If you are unsure, contact us before treating the surface. We’ll be happy to advise you.
How should I move a natural-stone table?
Natural-stone furniture is extremely heavy and must be handled carefully. Never drag the table across the floor or attempt to move it alone.
Arrange sufficient or professional assistance and follow any assembly or handling instructions supplied with your table. Lift and support each component carefully to avoid injury or damage to the stone, base and flooring.
Can I use my doadoa piece outdoors?
Only use a piece outdoors if the relevant product page expressly states that it is suitable for outdoor use.
Natural stone and its finish may be affected by frost, rain, moisture, direct sunlight and changing temperatures. Contact us before placing your piece outdoors if you are unsure about its suitability.

For orders delivered within the European Union, VAT is included in the listed price and no import duties normally apply.
For destinations outside the European Union, import duties, local taxes, customs clearance charges or other fees may apply. Unless these charges are calculated and collected during checkout, they are the responsibility of the customer.

Can I change my order after it has been placed?
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to request a change.
Changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has been confirmed, dispatched or entered production. For made-to-order tables, an approved change may affect the price and estimated lead time and will only apply once confirmed by doadoa in writing.
Can I change the delivery address after ordering?
Please contact us immediately if the delivery address is incorrect.
We may be able to update the address before dispatch, but changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered the shipping process. A different destination may result in additional delivery costs or a revised delivery time.
What should I do if my payment is unsuccessful?
First check that your payment details, billing address and available balance are correct. You can then try again or select another available payment method.
If the problem continues, contact your bank or payment provider. You may also contact us at contact@doadoa.nl, but please do not send card numbers, passwords or other sensitive payment information by email.
